Contest Rules and Regulations
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open only to entrants who are least 21 years of age or older as of September 9, 2009. Void where prohibited by law. By entering this contest you agree to be bound by the conditions of these contest rules and regulations and you agree that all decisions of the contest organizer will be final.
The contest begins at 9am EST on September 9, 2009 and ends at 11:59 pm EST on October 21, 2009, The Close Date.
You may enter the contest by submitting whose skull you would steal and why via Twitter (hashtag #cranio), Facebook, LibraryThing, Goodreads, Shelfari, Gather, MySpace, or email (email@example.com) by The Close Date. Only 1 (one) entry per person is allowed.
Unbridled Books will provide 30 (thirty) prize winners each with 1 (one) hardcover, first edition copy of Colin Dickey’s book CRANIOKLEPTY: GRAVE ROBBING AND THE SEARCH FOR GENIUS. Estimated prize value is $25. Prizes consist only of the items specifically listed as part of the prize. No substitution or transfer or assignment of any prize by winners is permitted.
Your contest entry must be an original, unpublished work of which you are the sole author and copyright owner. All contest entries must be in English. Winners have two weeks to respond with their contact and mailing information. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of the prize. This competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Your submission remains your property, however by submitting your entry, you give Unbridled Books a world-wide irrevocable royalty-free license to reproduce, publish, adapt, communicate and broadcast all or part of your entry in any form and media. Your personal contact information will not be shared with any other parties. Your submission and/or acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to Unbridled Books to use the winners’ name and statements for purposes of advertising and trade, in any medium, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Unbridled Books does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected emails or failures in Internet or communications. The value of the prizes is accurate at the date of the commencement of the promotion. Unbridled Books does not accept any responsibility for any variation in prize value after The Close Date. Twitter, Facebook, LibraryThing, Goodreads, Shelfari, Gather, MySpace, or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) are not affiliated with Unbridled Books and are not responsible for choosing the winners or awarding the prizes.
Entrants assume all liability and agree to hold Sponsor harmless for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize, and indemnify Sponsor against any claim or action that results from their submissions to and participation in this contest, including claims by third parties. Unbridled Books does not endorse the actual stealing of skulls.
Unbridled Books reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest for any reason. All costs and expenses, duties, value added taxes or tax liability incurred by the winners as a result of winning are the sole responsibility of the winners. Unbridled Books accepts no responsibility for any taxes that may arise from the winning. The participant should seek independent financial advice in this regard. The laws of the State of Colorado, U.S.A. shall apply.
Contest entries will be judged based on their originality and intriguing quality by a panel of judges. Decisions of this panel will be final.

The contest begins at 9:00 am EST on September 9, 2009 and all entries must be received by 11:59 pm EST on October 21, 2009.
